IE3 Industrial AC Motor Energy Saving Renovation for Food Factory

June 26, 2026

A large-scale food processing factory in Malaysia has been facing high power consumption and frequent motor overheating failures for years. The factory was equipped with traditional IE2 standard motors for production line conveyors, fans, and material delivery pumps. Long-term 24-hour continuous operation led to serious energy waste, high maintenance costs, and unstable production efficiency. To comply with local Malaysia industrial energy-saving policies and reduce operational costs, the customer decided to fully upgrade the factory’s power drive system with our X-200 series IE3 high-efficiency industrial AC motors.

Our technical team conducted on-site survey and load testing for all production equipment, and customized matched power and installation-type IE3 motors according to different load characteristics of packaging lines, baking workshop exhaust systems, and raw material delivery equipment. All adopted fully enclosed IP55 protection structure and F-class high-temperature resistant insulation, which perfectly adapts to the high humidity, high temperature and slight dust working environment of food processing workshops.

After full replacement and commissioning, the overall power consumption of the production line was reduced by 28.6%. The motor overheating and shutdown faults were completely eliminated, and the equipment continuous operation stability was greatly improved. The factory’s annual electricity cost is saved by more than 30,000 US dollars, and the equipment service life is extended by more than 40%. The customer successfully passed the local industrial energy-saving audit and obtained government energy-saving subsidies.
